
The Old Railway Heritage Trail from Northam to Midland runs along the far side of Werribee Road, just opposite the old back gate of the property. This is especially for hikers, cyclists, and horse-riders.
Wooroloo Village is within easy walking distance. It has a general store and a post office as well as the historic stone church of St. Francis, the old station master's house, and a small timber building which was once the smallest post office in Australia. A well known local artist, Brian Aylward, also has an art Gallery next door to the old post office which is open at weekends.
The immaculate El Caballo eighteen-hole golf course and restaurant is only five minutes drive from the farm.
The Lake Charlotte Winery and Café and the Academy Equestrian in the Hills are just five minutes drive away.
Lake Leschenaultia, with its swimming, canoeing, walk trails, café and other facilities near Chidlow, is ten minutes drive away.
The town of Mundaring itself, as well as having a wide variety of cafés, wineries and restaurants, including the nationally renowned Loose Box Restaurant, also has an Arts Centre, Tourist Information Centre, Hills Forrest Activities Centre, and the Mundaring Weir with its open-air cinema and C.Y. O'Connor museum.
Further afield, within a half-hour drive, are the historic towns of York, Toodyay and Northam - centres for the annual Avon Descent white-water race, hot-air ballooning, a motor museum and camel rides.
